Have you ever had a dream and tried to pursue it part time but became distracted with work and life that you never made any substantial progress towards your vision? Do you wish you could focus on your dream 100% for a period of time but feel you can not make the finances work? Have you been trying to go it alone without support? Not sure where to start? Questions such as this are what have inspired the Bootstrap Camp concept. In a nutshell, the vision is to enable individuals and families to: a) Live extremely cheaply (If not free eventually) for extended periods of time away from distraction b) Surround themselves with others pursuing their dreams and ideas c) Work collaboratively on your ideas and the ideas of others d) Immerse yourself in a beautiful outdoor environment for inspiration e) Have a plethora of free outdoor activities for entertainment, stress relief, and building relationships f) Although you may be camping or in tiny accommodations simply large enough to sleep, also have access to a lush “coffee shop” type working environment with conference rooms and all the technology required to pursue dreams.
I have a background and vision for projects of a social, community or business nature. However, we would want this open to people pursing their passion or dreams. This could include musicians, poets, artists, entrepreneurs, to who knows what. You simply need to come with your ideas and a spirit of collaboration that not only wants to see your ideas happen but also to help bring the ideas of those around you to life. The vision is focused on anyone of any age or background. We also hope to make this family friendly. Down the road, with the support of a few entrepreneurs, we would like to find a way to make this self sustaining for participants via “Day jobs” via a business venture that enables participants at Bootstrap Camp to work, no more than a part-time (20%) job to cover costs (Food / camp / materials required to pursue passion) and give them the time needed to get their idea developed. |
